With only 15 minutes each video, we are going to dive into how to take care of our garden ... the garden that is your children's ministry! Specific to leaders, these videos will help us give sun, water and remove the bad weeds from our gardens. From how to convey vision to your teachers to how to manage conflict, if you are the leader of the children's ministry of your church, you will not want to miss these 8 videos with a workshop handout for each one. Earn your certificate by completing the small homework assignment for each video! Start meeting with Kristina Krauss in her garden today!
Homework
What is the first step to transmitting the vision to your team?
What is your next fun activity that you will do with your teachers? (If you do not have one already planned, go ahead and plan one now, even if simple.)
Make a stoplight and put it in a visible place to remember red, yellow, or green, according to your plan of action for conflicts in church.
Share something that happened this past month that made you feel like you were connecting the children to God?
When is the next break or rest that you can give your teachers?
Write a phrase that you can use with an angry parent to make them feel Heard and to show that you will act.
Choose a teacher of the month to thank them for something they did that was outstanding or take the time to say, "thank you" to all your teachers.
Find an idea to help your teachers control their frustrations without treating a child badly. Or you can do this: suggest that your teachers carry a notebook to record complicated situations that cause them anger and a word to explain the intensity of emotion they feel. Then in the future review the notes with each teacher and pray together.
