"Children are important" was founded by Dwight and Kristina Krauss in 2005, with the mission to create fully devoted followers of Christ. To accomplish this mission, our strategic vision is to equip church leaders to reach the next generation in both training and resources for evangelism and discipleship of children and with Christian education resources. It is our joy to share with you the essential beliefs that are covered in our materials.
We are an interdenominational organization, a non-profit private association, charged by God to serve the Body of Christ including all its denominations. Apart from the essential beliefs mentioned here, we do not cover in our curriculum specific doctrines where the evangelical churches disagree. For example, we do not cover the trinity doctrine in our material, but do cover the existence of God the father, the son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. We have both Trinitarian and Unitarian denominations using our curriculum, as well as both Pentecostal and non-Pentecostal denominations. We will cover the Holy Spirit, but will not cover the manifestations normally associated with Pentecostalism. In addition, we encourage water baptism in our curriculum, but do not dictate specific baptism rules. We respectfully ask that each church cover their specific doctrines not listed in these essential beliefs.
The various staff members at "Children are Important" each worship at their own church, and are under authority each to his or her own pastor. This interdenominational ministry does not belong to a specific denomination, with the vision of helping the needs of the many. If you have invited a staff member from "Children are Important" to give a teacher training conference or to speak, they will not be teaching on their own personal doctrinal beliefs, but will be representing "Children are Important" and will not cover doctrines other than the above-mentioned essential beliefs.
